Overall, there were predictable moments but there was also a lot of intense moments and it made for a good finale. I feel sorry for Rossi that he had to come under CBS’ allergy to relationships, however, I suppose that was about the only member you could really kill off and not have a flipping tables fest from the fandom. It was a good finale and had a good pacing. I would totally watch it again in reruns.

Hawaii Five-0 3.24 reaction posts. SPOILERS

Overall, this finale just got me unlike any other finale we’ve had. There were stakes. Danny FINALLY broke his cliffhanger cycle, and just Wo Fat was utilized spectacularly. I can’t wait to see how this all resolves. I am sad, however, to see Kono go. She is one of my favorites and the only way we can replace her is to find another female character who is just as smart and deadly. This was great. This was the finale I wanted but didn’t know I wanted. Let’s hope the show survives being on Fridays.

Doctor Who “The Name of the Doctor” reaction post. SPOILERS

Overall, it was a mess. That’s the problem with these grandiose plots, they get messy in the finales. The Fiftieth is going to be very interesting. My fears about John Hurt have also been assuaged. I liked Clara’s answer, but at the same time it was a bit of a letdown. The riddle was so much greater than the so very simple answer. That said, I had fun in this second half of series seven. Every single episode was an adventure I would love to go on with the Doctor, even if it meant this finale as well. I enjoyed Clara as a companion. I can’t wait to see what lies ahead.

So let’s talk turkey Star Trek into Darkness.

Overall, it was a good movie, but it could have been better. We need a director/producer at the helm who actually LIKES the franchise. For what it was, it was good, but there were some things that honestly should never have happened. In many ways, what I watched tonight wasn’t a Star Trek movie, it was a Star Wars movie except without that brand of political intrigue.

Elementary 1.23 and 1.24 reaction post. SPOILERS

Overall, it was really interesting and one of the best finales I’ve seen this season. There were cute moments, moments that had me believing what the moments wanted me to believe, and a great twist. At first, I wasn’t sure of the twist, but as things progressed, I came to believe its authenticity, which is what made it really interesting and enjoyable. I am going to miss this show and I can’t wait to see what season two might have in store.

Criminal Minds 8.22 reaction post. SPOILERS.

Overall, it was a good episode and I was ready to start throwing things if Blake chose to leave. I like her, I really do. She’s my kind of character, and I’m glad she gets to stay. I cannot wait for next week. Mark Hamill played the Joker when I was a kid and just…I am excited to see what he might do with whatever role they might give him.

CSI 13.22 reaction post. SPOILERS

Overall, this episode suffered from the same problem that NCIS LA had with their finale except not as extreme. The lead up was a bit sleepy, a bit slow, but not as slow as NCIS LA. Then, things suddenly sped up and over-drama. But, that’s CSI, well, CBS in general, for you. It could have been better, but I am curious how Morgan will get out of this.

Supernatural 8.23 reaction post. SPOILERS

Overall, that was one of the best acted episodes of Supernatural. Mark Sheppard just…MARK SHEPPARD. That was brilliant. I can’t wait to see what happens to demons when they get to that level of purification. Also, just this show and its special effects budget. I mean we could not have had the special effects we had tonight even two or three seasons ago.I can’t wait for season nine. This is going to be so fascinating.

Overall, that was like the sleepiest most exciting episode ever. Which is quite unfortunate, because there could have been an exciting ride leading up to the last about fifteen or so minutes. At least the entire thing wasn’t sleepy. I cannot wait until season five.

Hawaii Five-0 3.23 reaction post. SPOILERS.

Overall, it was a good and enlightening episode in terms of character development for Steve and Doris. It was kind of like a role reversal when they argued and that was interesting. I didn’t like how Gabby flaked on Danny. I feel like the writers can’t write Danny love interests without giving them bizarre personalities that don’t quite match up in person vs. over a phone. I mean you have Rachel who volleys between a rather reasonable person in person and then psycho over the phone. Now we have Gabby who seemed quite reliable in person letting Danny go all the way to the airport when she would have known at least a day in advance. I just…I mean she could have called him like two hours before the flight landed and spared him. I don’t know. I think the weird free for all with Rachel’s characterization has made me instinctively cringe at anything like this. Anyway, I’m kind of banking on Kono having lost her gun at some point earlier this season (or maybe I should know this and I forgot because too much classwork?). I mean I just don’t understand how the cliffhanger would work otherwise. I mean why shoot herself in the abdomen? It doesn’t make sense. Clearly the guy who shot at her must have had her gun.

Doctor Who “Nightmare in Silver” reaction post. SPOILERS

Overall, it wasn’t a bad episode. I liked it better than I liked “The Doctor’s Wife.” The Cybermen are officially assimilated (or in this case upgraded) with the Borg into something that takes two of my childhood scifi TV shows and makes it into something spectacularly terrifying. We really should hand it to Matt Smith for the way he could manipulate his voice. Due to my epilepsy, I was unable to watch the scenes when he was in darkened rooms with the flashing Cyberman thing on his face, but I listened. It was easy to tell which Doctor was talking, which was really good. I wish I could tell you things about facial variation and so forth, but honestly, I couldn’t watch those scenes if I wanted to stay seizure-free.

Overall, it was a decent episode. I still wonder if that memory retrieval technology is a real thing if it’s retrieving memories or creating partial seizures. I just want to get to the finale if we’re being honest mostly because I’m so very excited for the guest star. I mean come on, he was my childhood cartoon Joker. This is going to be epic if he’s the character I think he is.
