But what if the Silence didn’t want to stop the Doctor from going to Trenzalore because that was where the Great Intelligence infiltrated the Doctor’s timestream? What if the reason that Silence didn’t want the Doctor to go to Trenzalore was because that’s how the Valeyard was created?

I mean, what if the Master just assumed the Valeyard was an incarnation of the Doctor trying to cling to life like the Master was trying to cling to life?

If John Hurt is the Valeyard, perhaps he exists in the Doctor’s timestream because they’ve crossed paths in the Doctor’s past. Perhaps the 50th might begin at Trenzalore with Eleven and Hurt’s character and then spread to Ten’s portion of the time stream.

Moffat loves paradoxes. I mean I could see him pulling a since the Valeyard and the Doctor are the same creature and crossed paths in person before, then the Valeyard could exist in the Doctor’s time stream since it would be the same time stream and then the Doctor could loose the Valeyard on time and space. Or something.

I dunno. it’s just a cracky thought.

OH MY GOD! THE DOCTOR QUOTED ALICE IN WONDERLAND

this is the guy who quoted the lion king while confronting the sycorax and says he’s a space gandalf

He also used Harry Potter to fight off witches from space.

I really want him to say ‘companions. Assemble!’ one day

This is the Doctor’s second time quoting Lewis Carroll. The Fifth Doctor also quoted from the Alice stories too.

i really really like clara and her chemistry with the doctor, i don’t even care if they are in love, they can be best friends for all i care. i just really love her character and i would appreciate it if you stopped criticizing her because of ship wars, thank you

Sometimes I feel that she’s his version of Donna and they just decided not to correct everyone who thinks they’re dating.

I mean I think the thing you need to realize about me that’s not readily apparent is I don’t completely understand emotion or humanity. That’s why a character who is alien and operates through a kind of disconnect is far more relatable for me than any companion.

When I was younger, I tried to express disingenuous emotion that I thought was the appropriate response to a stimulus. It didn’t really work and it only increased the number of children who were verbally and psychologically abusive towards me. I was just trying to fit in better and maybe make a few more friends. I hadn’t quite realized yet, that it’s inherently human to hate and try to chase away anything abnormal, and if anyone is abnormal, it’s me.

This is also why I’ve not had a successful relationship and I’m twenty-eight. How can I be successful when I’ve never felt human? How can I understand how to treat another person when I barely understand how to treat myself?

This is also why Eleven is my Doctor. He’s one of the most alien Doctors and one of the most terrifying Doctors. He has that thing that’s also inside of me, that awful thing that’s full of violent impulses, regret, pain, and confusion. How could he not be my Doctor?

Who else

It does make sense. Amy’s fear was what never was (the Doctor never returning), Rory’s fear was what already is (he didn’t have a room, so presumably his fear is the journey he’s on with Amy and the Doctor), and the Doctor’s fear was his own future and what he can become if he remains unchecked. We’re already seeing a hint of what he’s capable of and it’s very terrifying.

He kissed her because he was happy to see her, and then she slapped him.

Yeah I saw the slap too in some .gifset flying around. I just wish they’d stop with the unwanted kissing. Unwanted kissing makes me nervous.

So I just found out that at one point when I must have sneezed or not looked at the TV screen for whatever reason when watching “The Crimson Horror,” the Doctor kissed Jenny and…what…?

Like I don’t know if I’d believe it but there were pictures and I don’t even…what.

I’m kind of glad I didn’t see it.

Gatiss and Metzstein, what were you thinking?

And I’m saying this as you know Jenny is married and loyal and, Doctor, wtf. Not ew het, but those who have followed this blog long enough probably could figure that one out already.

See? But he did the same with Rory (also loyal, married, and committed) and no one freaked out. (Not saying you are, but some people threatened to boycott after this.) But I literally do not get the difference.

Well actually I’d understand it if people were annoyed because at least he was super familiar/friendly with Rory and not Jenny, but I have not seen a single person make that part of their argument, so…?

Sorry, this isn’t at you, really, but the ridiculous number of people who were throwing a shit fest for something Eleven’s already kind of known for.

The thing is while both are problematic, Rory’s kiss was different than Jenny’s kiss. Eleven shouldn’t just randomly kiss people, but the direction of the Jenny kiss was more problematic because it wasn’t this short mwah, there was dipping involved and just when you’re someone who’s had issues with people touching you inappropriately, a kiss with that much force and control when the Doctor is bigger than Jenny…it’s more uncomfortable and thus gets a larger reaction.

Really, neither should have happened because you shouldn’t be teaching kids to just kiss whoever no matter how the other person might feel.

Now that I think of it, that John Hurt rumor that’s already been debunked. It would be really cool if instead of Nine, an actor showed up and (s)he was Twelve, and we spent the anniversary learning our new Doctor and saying goodbye to some older Doctors and then the end of the anniversary would be how Eleven regenerated into Twelve and that would be kind of interesting and cool and be in the spirit of the show.

Now, that doesn’t mean Mycroft didn’t get it from the TARDIS at some point, but the origin is Clara’s alternate self.

I thought it was determined to be an umbrella Seven used in an episode or two?
The handle’s all wrong for it to be Clara’s.

It’s hard to see in that picture, but it’s the same handle. Seven’s handle was different.
