I think there’s something between Peter reminding Derek of the myth of calling out a werewolf’s christian name to cure him and Stiles christian name being steeped so deeply in mystery. And - though Peter is trying to win Derek over as Deaton warned he would, and thus can’t necessarily be trusted - that it is brought up in the conversation about the healing power of human love seems really, really important.
What if Stiles nearly dies, needs to be turned to heal, but can be saved? It seems so random a cure to bring up, and I know that the conversation was ostensibly about saving Jackson, the identity-less orphan, but Stiles is the one who literally has no christian name (to us).
HASHTAG THINGS THAT ARE NOT OK.
Jackson, also, might not have a “Christian name” either since we don’t know if, like the baby we saw a few episodes ago, one of his parents lingered enough to name him in the birth record. The Whittemores could have renamed him completely since he probably came to them so young.
